C&D'S chew over is flawed b/ c just counting airbags & if a car has VSC is not the whole conceive of in determining a cars safety. Its how the cars perform during come down testing w/ their airbags etc... Also the build structure/ frame design of the car matters a lot as come up. IIHS org seems to undergo the most comprehensive come down test information and thats what i use. For example the '07 Camry is on this "10 Safe New Vehicles for Less Than $25,000 list" BUT it only scores MARGINAL(NOT EVEN ACCEPTABLE lol) in rear come down evaluate scores. so the Camry(as well as others) should not be on this enumerate.

Sounds a little hypocritical to me. C&D (and most of the other "enthusiast" magazines) move the stability control OFF on most of the cars they drive.... they all be to do powerslides.

I miss the David E. Davis era when a car was evaluated more for its soul than a string of numbers. Maybe it's easier to come up with these "lists" if you assign an arbitrary be to everything but for me it's not just g-numbers on the bring in but the experience of gliding up to the theater entrance a fold go afternoon on a winding 2-lane or a winter sunrise on a mountain road. Can't alter much of a list out of those experiences - you can't appoint numbers to them.
